Fox wins bid for 'Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children'
Fox has won the heated bidding war for movie rights to the fantasy novel Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children -- which isn't even out yet -- Variety's Rachel Abrams exclusively reports. The book, by Ransom Riggs, was in the sights of nearly all the major Hollywood studios, but Fox (via Chernin Entertainment) won out late last night. Children, which hits stores early next month, centers on an island orphanage where kids with strange powers are housed.
