Matt Modine, Tom Conti & Joey King join 'TDKR'
Hey everybody! Joker is in "The Dark Knight Rises," Variety's Jeff Sneider exclusively reports. OK, OK, cheap tease. But it's kinda true: Christopher Nolan’s final act in the Batman trilogy has added “Full Metal Jacket” actor Matthew Modine (left), who played Pvt. Joker in Stanley Kubrick’s 1987 Vietnam War pic. He’ll be playing a character named “Nixon” in the superhero sequel, though further details weren’t available. Additionally, Tom Conti (right) and 11-year-old thesp Joey King (inset) have joined the ensemble, though in keeping with the Nolan tradition, details of their roles are being kept firmly under wraps.
