Anna Kendrick, Jake Gyllenhaal marry up for 'End of Watch'
Nighttime, suburban home. Anna Kendrick, lying awake in bed, worrying, then pacing, checking her phone ... smash-cut to Jake Gyllenhaal, in a cop's uniform, gun drawn, sensing danger as he peers around a corner. Kind of works, right? Well, it's happening: Kendrick is in negotiations to play Gyllenhaal's wife in the indie cop drama "End of Watch," Variety's Justin Kroll exclusively reports. Natalie Martinez ("Detroit 1-8-7") is also in talks, and will play Michael Pena's wife (Gyllenhaal and Pena play longtime partners on the Los Angeles Police Department). We'll next see the Oscar-nominated Kendrick in βThe Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1β and β50/50,β a comedy starring Joseph Gordon Levitt and Seth Rogen.
