Having wrapped the final season of Disney Channel’s “Wizards of Waverly Place,” star Jake T. Austin is in final negotiations to join “Super 8” thesp Joel Courtney in “Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn,” Variety's Jeff Sneider exclusively reports. (Austin will play Huck, while Courtney, who never had a role in anything before "Super 8," will play Tom Sawyer, as SHOWBLITZ first reported). Production is skedded to start in August in Bulgaria (because what better place to capture pure Americana, right?)
