Liman Ready to go to the Moon
See that big greenlight in the sky? That's for "Luna," the let's-go-to-the-moon action heist flick from director Doug Liman ("Swingers," "Go," "The Bourne Identity"). The project is moving forward after Paramount put the finishing touches on a co-financing deal with David Ellison’s Skydance Pictures and New Regency, Variety's Justin Kroll exclusively reports. The pic follows a group of renegade sceintists who build a spaceship from parts bought on the open market with plans to steal an energy source on the moon. No cast yet, though Liman had been meeting with several actors including Bradley Cooper, Chris Evans and Andrew Garfield, and a decision should come soon now that financing is in place.
