Writing duo David Elliot and Paul Lovett are offering Disney their own spin on the magical world of gargoyles, Variety's Justin Kroll and Marc Graser exclusively report. The project centers on the stony statues on buildings, which come to life and act as guardian angels for the cities in which they reside. The two pitched their original idea to Disney; the studio is excited about exploring the possibility of making it a live-action flick.
