Ehrenreich Stoked For 'Stoker'

AldenAlden Ehrenreich -- the kid who Steven Spielberg discovered in a video at a bat mitzvah he was attending, according to lore -- is in talks to join Mia Wasikowska in the Fox Searchlight thriller “Stoker,” Variety's Jeff Sneider exclusively reports. Wasikowska stars as a teenage loner who’s thrown off by the arrival of her mysterious uncle -- played by Matthew Goode -- while she mourns the death of her father. Ehrenreich will play Whip Taylor, an alpha dog on the football team who’s initially kind to Wasikowska’s character despite the fact that his jock friends pick on her, until his kindness deteriorates. Nicole Kidman, Lucas Till and Jacki Weaver co-star in the pic, which Chan-wook Park is directing from a script that Wentworth Miller wrote under the pseudonym Ted Foulke. Ridley Scott, Tony Scott and Michael Costigan are on board to produce.
