Callan McAuliffe finds 'Paradise Lost'

Four “I Am Number Four” thesp Callan McAuliffe is joining the cast of “Paradise Lost,” the big-budget adaptation of John Milton’s 17th-century poem that will be directed by Alex Proyas, Variety's Jeff Sneider exclusively reports. Bradley Cooper, Ben Walker, Casey Affleck and Djimon Hounsou star in the heavenly epic, while “Rock of Ages” thesp Diego Boneta is being eyed for the role of Adam. McAuliffe will play Uriel, one of the first seven archangels created by God. When Lucifer (Cooper) rebels against God and Michael (Walker) is named commander of Heaven’s army, the dedicated soldier Uriel becomes his second in command.
