John Cusack has come aboard THE NUMBERS STATION opposite Malin Akerman, as Variety's Dave McNary exclusively reports. Cusack plays a disgraced black-ops agent tasked with a deadend job of protecting a code operator for an isolated covert CIA broadcast station played by Akerman. Script is by F. Scott Frazier. Kasper Barfoed is set to direct the action thriller, with production to begin in mid-November.
