'Game of Thrones' star Harington swings to 'Arthur and Lancelot'
EXCLUSIVE: After playing the bastard Jon Snow on HBO’s GAME OF THRONES, Kit Harington looks ready to display his sword-wielding skills yet again, as Warner Bros. has tapped him for the role of King Arthur in ARTHUR AND LANCELOT, Variety's Justin Kroll and Jeff Sneider report. A schedule is still being worked out, but once that is resolved, Harrington should be able to begin shooting in early 2012. Joel Kinniman is already in place to play Lancelot with David Dobkin on board to write and direct. Kinniman and Harrington were said to be the early front-runners for both roles, and while Kinniman’s test was good enough to get an early offer, Harrington had to re-test, eventually beating out the likes of Sam Claflin and his GAME OF THRONES co-star Richard Maddon.
