'THE CONJURING' SEEING STARS
New Line has selected Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson to star in the horror pic THE CONJURING, Variety's Justin Kroll reports. The two actors are in final negotiations to star and James Wan is on board to direct. The film is inspired by the true-life story of the Perron family, who claimed they “lived among the dead” in the 1970s as spirits both friendly and sinister inhabited their Rhode Island farmhouse. Farmiga is no stranger to the horror genre having starred in the Warner Bros. pic ORPHAN and can be seen next in Universal’s SAFE HOUSE which opens next month. Wilson was most recently seen in Paramount’s YOUNG ADULT.
