STAPLETON STUCK ON '300'
ANIMAL KINGDOM star Sullivan Stapleton is in final negotiations to star in the untitled 300 follow-up from Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures, Variety's Justin Kroll Reports. Noam Murro is directing the much anticipated action sequel. Stapleton had been in consideration for the role early on in the process but it was believed he couldn't do it because of his obligation to the TV show STRIKE BACK. With the shoot pushed to the summer, the studio went back to Stapleton and it now seems their schedules will fit. The ironic part is that Joel Edgerton, Stapleton's ANIMAL KINGDOM co-star, was a front-runner for the role at one point but passed to do the untitled Kill Bin Laden film.
