KASDAN/SEGEL PRESS PLAY ON 'SEX TAPE'
BAD TEACHER helmer Jake Kasdan is in negotiations to direct the high-concept comedy SEX TAPE for Sony Pictures and Escape Artists, Variety's Justin Kroll and Jeff Sneider report. Kasdan's BAD TEACHER buddy Jason Segel is attached to star as half of a happily married couple who use a night off from their parental duties to spice up their love life by making a sex tape. When they awake the following morning, they discover the tape has gone missing, prompting them to figure out who took it and how to get it back. Segel's FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL helmer Nicholas Stoller was previously attached to direct before scheduling issues forced him to bow out of the project. SEX TAPE is a high priority project at Sony, which paid low seven figures for Kate Angelo's spec script last June.
