ROGAN/HART PAIR FOR COP COMEDY
EXCLUSIVE: Paramount has won a bidding war for an original pitch from Rodney Rothman that has Seth Rogen and Kevin Hart attached to star in the untitled police comedy, Variety's Jeff Sneider reports. Rogen and Hart will play cops in the comedy, which is being pitched as the first interracial police pairing in law enforcement history. Rothman approached Rogen to star, having first worked together a decade ago on the short-lived Fox series UNDECLARED. Rothman just produced Universal's upcoming comedy THE FIVE-YEAR ENGAGEMENT, which is his fourth film for Judd Apatow's production company Apatow Prods. Rothman recently sold the horror-comedy script THE SOMETHING to Universal, and he's now attached to make his directorial debut on that project. Rogen recently starred in and produced 50/50. Hart next stars in Screen Gems' comedy THINK LIKE A MAN and co-stars in THE FIVE-YEAR ENGAGEMENT.
