'Oldboy' helmer Chan-wook Park in talks to direct Black List Western 'Brigands of Rattleborge'
EXCLUSIVE: Having wrapped his English-language debut STOKER for Fox Searchlight, South Korean helmer Chan-wook Park (OLDBOY) is in talks to direct S. Craig Zahler’s Black List western THE BRIGANDS OF RATTLEBORGE, which Red Granite Pictures has come on to finance and co-produce with Mythology Entertainment. Ultra-violent pic follows a group of bandits who use the cover of a torrential thunderstorm to rob the occupants of a small town. Script was voted No. 1 on the 2006 Black List but has languished in development due to its violent content, which will likely necessitate the casting of a major star. -Jeff Sneider
