A King of Pop biopic – this is what the Michael Jackson estate wants to start in Hollywood. The biopic project was opened up by John Branca, offering to finance and produce a biopic. Branca is Jackson’s estate executor.
According to Jeff Sneider of Variety, Branca has approached Tom Pollock and Ivan Reitman of Montecito Picture Company to get the project started. It is said that the project will only cover specific parts of Jackson’s life.
Pollock confirmed that talks are in progress, but nothing concrete has been decided yet and no deal has been agreed upon. Jackson’s spokesman had no comment on the issue though.
